Trimming has appeared at very old times in Arab countries. In fact, Arabs have used this weaving style at Royal palaces & high-class personality's houses on the one hand, and on traditional dresses as CAFTAN & DJELLABAH on the other hand. Moreover, Trimming has served to decorate horses during festivals & events. This tradition has entered many houses, one of which was the house of ABDELKADER BEN LEBBAR & AHMED GUENIYARI SALHI, who has worked together from their early age to produce some styles representing a basic element in traditional dresses.
The said craftsmen decided to develop this occupation by introducing modern machines. Two years were enough to implement this project & create on 17/02/1969 a traditional company named « ARTESANIA VENUS » in Tetouan, a first of its kind in Morocco.
Now, after 36 years, our production is always based on 65% of manual work.
